Meet the
Founder

Tina Fernandez is passionate about helping others thrive.

Her 30-year career has focused on advocating for social justice through the legal and education sectors and most recently through developing and supporting leaders for social impact. She is the founder and CEO of Day Six Leadership and was the founding executive director of Achieve Atlanta, an organization whose vision is that Atlanta be a city where race and income no longer predict postsecondary success or upward mobility.

Tina was also a partner at Bellwether Education Partners, a national nonprofit providing strategic, talent, and policy consulting to education organizations across the United States. At Bellwether, Tina helped launch the Talent Readiness Pilot and co-lead the development of Bellwether’s talent services. Tina also served as a Clinical Professor in the experiential learning division at the University of Texas School of Law and was the founding Director of the school’s Pro Bono Program.

She is a senior fellow with the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative, a trustee for the Tull Charitable Foundation, a Pahara-Aspen Education Fellow, and a moderator for the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Tina earned her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and her B.A. from Harvard College. She is originally from the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and is mom to Lucia and Franky.
